Well talk about multi-purpose items - I got the massager for my friend who is a masseuse and wanted one to use on patients. She found it perfect, and very low noise level, which she needed because often is in area with others nearby. She also thinks it looks "sheik" and it was less expensive than items on massage therapy sites she went to.
